On May 1, 2002 we pursued our dream to meet and greet more furry critters on a daily basis, so The Companion Shop was born.   We've really enjoyed meeting all of our customers and their furry family ever since. 
 
We are a dog and cat specialty store in beautiful Stevens Point, WI.  We don't have live animals (except kittens and cats for adoption from the local Humane Society), but have everything you need to keep them healthy, active, comfortable, and happy.  We spend a lot of time finding unique, quality products, and have items to fit any budget. 
 
We try hard to make your shopping experience a pleasant one.  We encourage you to bring in your dog or cat to make it a family time.  Dogs especially enjoy all the different smells, and like being able to pick out their own treats from our extensive "butcher shop". 
 
 
Help Wanted
 
Someone to work year round.  Probably 12-20 hours a week, sometimes up to 40 when owners go on vacation. 
 
Animal lover with some knowledge of different dog breeds, and dog and cat behavior.  Successful candidate will be super friendly, patient, and customer oriented.  Be willing to do a lot of cleaning, and lifting and carrying of heavy bags of food up and down stairs.  Able to work on your own, able to see things that need to be done without being told, and honest!
