Wanted:Good Families for Homeless
We always have kitties and cats available for adoption from our local Portage County Humane Society. At any given time we have from 1-12 felines running around our store, playing, napping, and greeting customers. Our cats become wonderful members of the family due to all of the socializing they get from the time spent at our store being snuffled by dogs, scooped up by kids, and baby-talked to by hundreds of people. Of course the staff at the Humane Society always does a great job picking out the cats they think will do the best in our store. The procedure to adopt a cat from us is the same as at the shelter. You need to be 21 and fill out their application form. It usually takes them from one to check it over and let you know if you have been approved or not. We ask the same adoption fee as they do. We have adopted out over 252 cats. Come in and meet your new family member and help us push up that number!
We currently have the following for adoption (we only update this list once a month, so feel free to call for a more current listing).
Current adoption fees are $25 for adults over 1 year, $50 for kittens under a year. Consider 2, they are so entertaining when they have another cat to play with. Summer special "buy one, get one" adoptions.
Right now we have:
Nike - a black and white kitty about 2 years old. Very good sense of humor, really good with other cats, ok with dogs. Very independent.
Kitties - Dr. Pepper... black & tan tabby, very sweet boy and very charming. Ernie...playful little ginger kitty
Toby - Great big black and white kitty. He's so laid back, and just likes to be by people. Very beautiful! Does stalk people carrying peacock feathers!
Legolas - the tail-less wonder. Great friendly cat, very fun, and loving.
